The Yorke Peninsula Futsal Association (YPFA) offers fast-paced indoor soccer competitions for all ages, with matches held weekly at the Minlaton Basketball Stadium. Minlaton Golf Club, located on East Terrace in Minlaton, South Australia, is a public 18-hole, par-71 course stretching approximately 5,796 yards. The course features sand greens and is open to both members and visitors, with green fees around AUD $5 . The club offers practice facilities, including a driving range and putting green, and hosts events such as the annual Minlaton Open, typically held in the winter months .
The Southern Yorke Peninsula (SYP) Netball Association offers a vibrant and inclusive netball experience for players of all ages and skill levels across the region. The 2025 season commenced on Friday, May 3, featuring competitive grades from juniors to seniors, as well as the introduction of non-competitive walking netball, providing opportunities for everyone to participate . While not affiliated with Netball SA, the association adheres to standard netball rules with minor exceptions, and also supports umpire development through trainee programs and training sessions .
A watered oval supported by a resovoir. Mostly used for Saturrday Cricket and Football.
The oval is sported by a small grand stand and a community center.
The oval is situated within the Minlaton Showgrounds. Supports a huge amount of parking.
Minlaton tennis and netball courts are situated behind the community center and football changerooms.
This is a new addition to our town. It gave the ability for the football/netball league to play together at the same location.
Minlaton Stadium is two indoor courts marked for basketball and netball. The stadium is supported by 5 outdoor lit courts.
it plays host to mostly Fridaynight netball and Basketball. It is also used during the week for indoor soccer.
The Minlaton Bowls Club is a friendly hub where locals and visitors alike gather for spirited matches and good-natured banter on well-kept greens. With its welcoming atmosphere and strong community roots, it’s a cornerstone of social life in the heart of town.
Minlaton golf course is an 18 hole unwatered winter course. The golf course snakes around the South East of the township.
Course itself is well maintained and lush and the fairways are lush green and kept short during winter.
Tucked away on the edge of Minlaton, the polocrosse pitch comes alive with thunderous hooves and fierce competition under the wide Yorke Peninsula sky. It’s where dusty determination meets rural pride, drawing players and spectators from miles around.
CMS Crows are an almalgamtion of Curramulka, Minlaton and Stansbury. It is a club of both netball and football that play on Saturdays in winter.
The teams vary from year to year however however generally play all Saturday.
The Club plays as apart of Yorke Peninsula Associcating and plays as North as Paskivelle. For each of the CMS home games the matches are sharded between facilities of Minlaton, Curramulka and Stansbury; Each with their own oval and netball courts.
The teams generally consist of a A and B grade, aswell as Under 17's, Under 14's, Under 12's and Under 10's.
Netball generally have a A grade, B grade then youth grades of C grade through to E.
Minlaton Basetball club plays on Friday nights at the Minlaton Stadium. Minlaton trains at the same location varying by team, generally between Tuesday and Thursday night.
The Minlaton Bowling Club, nestled in the heart of South Australia's Yorke Peninsula, offers a vibrant mix of competitive and social lawn bowls throughout the year. Minlaton Netball club plays on Friday nights in winter at the Minlaton Stadium. It offers teams from about 8 years to seniors. There has recently been the inclusion of mixed netball to the league.
Minlaton Tennis club plays in the Southern Yorke Peninsula Tennis Association. The team generally consists of a mixed A and B grade and Juniors.
I don't know much about the cricket club. They play around Southern YP and use the town oval in summer.
The Minlaton Hockey Club hits the field during the winter season, with games played on Saturdays as part of the Yorke Peninsula Hockey Association. Known for its passionate players and strong junior development, the club brings fierce competition and community pride to every match.
